This photograph is a little grainy but I'm okay with it. I feel like this piece may be a little to representational, especially, after my last post about attempting landscapes. I am really trying to find some sort of balance between representational and nonrepresentational painting. Other than that I really like the piece. It reminds me of play-doh and legos.

Loves it. Its not too representational; I think its perfect. Granted people can easily interpret it as a landscape, but think of all the dull and uncreative people in the world... to them its just chunks of random color.

Also, I'd rather have something look sort of like something than look like nothing at all. It's like looking at clouds. You know, the big poofy clouds are more fun because you can see things in them, but no one really enjoys altocumulus udulatus clouds because they're not even abstract, they're just (usually repetative) shapes/blobs. There's still some aesthetics to them, but nothing really to talk about.

I love where you're going with your Encaustic Paintings.
